President Responsibilities:

  • Associate or Professional Level Member
  • Previous Board leadership experience at the chapter level
  • Preside at all Executive Committee meetings and General Membership meetings
  • Provide overall leadership for the Chapter
  • Develop strategic plan and goals
  • Appoint and manage all committee chairs
  • Train new officers & ensure orderly transition
  • Look over National Rosters; report any changes;pass on National Rosters to appropriate board & committee members
  • Complete and submit required National reports
  • Communicate information
  • Authorize all disbursements
  • Shall be an ex-officio member of all committees
  • Attend Chapter Leadership Conference

Vice President

Vice President Responsibilities

  • Previous board / committee leadership experience at the chapter level
  • Assist President as required
  • Perform duties in absence of President
  • Serve as program chair
  • Keep chapter updated on CQRID
  • Inform membership of upcoming educational events & opportunities
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Ensure orderly transition
  • Oversee and work collaboratively with chapter membership, Treasurer and Secretary
  • Attend Chapter Leadership Conference if President is unable to attend or if more than one chapter member will attend

Secretary Responsibilities

  • Maintain official records of the chapter
  • Be responsible for bringing sign in sheets to every meeting
  • Take minutes at all Board and General Membership Meetings
  • Distribute minutes to Board, General Members (and to National HQ quarterly)
  • Assume Chapter Treasurer duties when necessary
  • Issue meeting notices
  • Assist in preparation of required reports to National HQ within prescribed time schedule (Quarterly meeting schedule; Quarterly meeting minutes; Copy of chapter mailing list; Original sign in sheets of all meetings – members & guests)

Treasurer

Treasurer Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage all Chapter financial records
  • Adhere to all National IDS policies regarding all accounting procedures
  • Issue monthly Treasurer’s report for Chapter meetings
  • Collect and track Chapter dues
  • Prepare complete list of paid members for the Membership chair and Website chair
  • Be responsible to the Chapter and National IDS for an accounting of all monies collected and disbursed by the chapter.
  • Issue Quarterly Financial Reports by April 15th, July 15th,  October 15th, and January 15th to the Executive Committee and National IDS (Report should include all monies, including investments held by the chapter, as well as a reporting of all disbursements made by the chapter during the quarter)
  • Issue Annual Financial Report
  • Assume Chapter Secretary duties when necessary
  • Work collaboratively with Vice President, Secretary and Membership
  • Report any financial discrepancies to the Chapter President
